Hello sailor! So what’s this funky new logo all about?
I’m glad you asked. The rather sleek image above is the branding for the newly formed co-operative, just launched by the fine folks who brought you Guru Magazine. With hand-rubbing glee, we’re delighted to announce the incorporation of – drum-roll please – the Guru Science Communication Co-operative. It’s a world first and we’re proud enough to shout about it.
So that sounds all very well and good, but um… what actually is a co-operative?
Another fine question! A co-operative is a company that is owned and run by its members. In our case, members will have a say in the management and direction of the magazine (including content, style, marketing and money-making) and will be entitled to a share of the dividends. It’s a novel and very exciting way to do business.

Guru has always been a crowd-sourced magazine: a collaborative effort from people all over the world. Our special brand of ‘science-lifestyle’ wouldn’t be possible without you, and this is our way of giving it back.
